MFL MARMAC HIGH SCHOOL DAILY BULLETIN – Friday, October 09, 2015 (Day 4) 

Ø  The choir will rehearse in the auditorium today during 4th hour. 


Ø  Good Luck tonight to the Football players away vs. Clayton Ridge starting at 5:15 pm.

Ø  Good Luck tomorrow to the JV Volleyball players at their tournament at Wapsie Valley starting at 9:00 am. Bus time is 6:45 AM.


Ø  The High School Choir will be performing at the UIC Vocal Festival on Monday, October 12. Students should meet in Ms. Berns room by 1:00 pm for attendance. We will leave no later than 1:15. You will need money for concessions and dress clothes for the concert. The concert begins at 7:30 pm at the Clayton Ridge High School gymnasium. Admission fee

 is $5. 


Ø  Students interested in attending Shrek  tonight for FREE should contact Ms. Berns at the high school or Mrs. Anderson at the middle school immediately. A generous donor has purchased 33 student tickets. You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the Elkader Opera House. If your parents plan on attending, they would be expected to purchase a ticket for $13. This offer has been made to the MFL MarMac, Clayton Ridge, and Central school districts and will go fast! 


Ø  The Basketball club has clothing for sale.  Please see form on the Bulletin Boards.  You can pick up forms in Mary and Joyce’s offices.  Forms need to be turned into Mary’s office by the end of the day.


Ø  This is National 4-H Week…special thanks to all of you who participate in your local 4-H. either as a member or volunteer. Your very own HYPE (Healthy Youth Peer Educators ) team is a 4-H group also. Thank you to all who are part of HYPE and to those of you who support us in all our projects and activities.  


Ø There will be no school on Monday, October 12 for Staff Professional Development. 


Ø  Dr. Crozier’s Philosophy Class will be going on a field trip to Luther college on October 14th.


Ø  The wrestling club will be going to the Iowa vs. Oklahoma St. Outdoor wrestling meet Nov. 14 at Kinnick Stadium. To guarantee a ticket, you will need to let coach Bachman know  by next Friday the 9th,  if you will be attending. 











ü  There is a free Teen Car Control Clinic at Southeast Technical College on October 17th.  See further information on the bulletin boards.

ü  The MFL MarMac Basketball Club is holding their 1st Annual 8 Pin Bowling Tournament on Saturday, November 14th.  Please see poster on bulletin boards for more information.

Ø  There will be athletic training coverage for MFL MarMac for the remainder of this school year. They  will be here twice a week during the lunch hour and events when possible. There is a schedule posted on the training room door, and if you need to be seen, please sign up at the high school office the day they will be here. Any questions please contact Mr. Oppelt.

ü  Attention Seniors: If a student who has senior release is failing any class as of Monday, they will not have Senior Release for the entire week. 

ü   Teaching-N-Tutoring (TNT) will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the Learning Commons from 3:30-4:30 pm.

ü  There are cancer stickers selling for $1 in Mary’s office in memory of Marilyn Loera.  They will be sold until all are gone and all money collected will be given to the Loera family.

ü  If anyone is interested in taking a Nurse’s Aide/CNA course, please contact Ms. Fischels in the guidance office.  Ms. Fischels will be here Thursday.

ü  Juniors and seniors:  If you would like to have your transcript sent to a college, please come and sign up in Joyce’s office.  Please turn in your Transcript Release form to your advisor.
